Description
Doncaster Rovers advanced to the Second Round with a 2-1 comeback victory over Crewe Alexandra at Alexandra Stadium. Mickey Demetriou gave the home side the lead right on the stroke of half-time, but Rovers turned the match around in the second half. Billy Sharp equalised in the 54th minute before Owen Bailey struck a dramatic winner in the second minute of stoppage time. Doncaster's superior attacking threat was evident with 8 shots on target compared to Crewe's 2, securing their progression in the competition.
