Description
Accrington Stanley survived a spirited comeback attempt from Gainsborough Trinity to advance to the Second Round with a dramatic 2-1 victory at The Northolme. Paddy Madden gave Stanley the early advantage in the 29th minute, but the non-league hosts refused to go quietly as Sisa Tuntulwana leveled the score in the 76th minute to send the home crowd wild. Just when penalties looked likely, Charlie Caton broke Trinity hearts with a devastating winner in the 95th minute to send the League Two side through.
