On Tuesday, FC Bayern won the absolute top match of the Champions League group stage against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-1 (2-0) victory. Luis Díaz (4th minute/32nd) put the Munich side ahead 2-0 in the first half with a brace. However, after a red card for the double scorer in stoppage time of the first half, Bayern had to play the second half with one man down. FCB gave everything and defended strongly. PSG pulled one back in the 74th minute through a goal by João Neves, but the Munich team managed to hold on to their narrow victory until the end.
