➡️ Throwback: The two sides already faced each other in the previous round of the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the return fixture on 19 November 2024 became a much needed turning point Indonesia. While Saudi Arabia were well placed to qualify directly, Indonesia were winless after five matchdays. That made the following 2-0 victory for Team Garuda even more important, laying the foundation for two more wins in the final four matches, which secured their spot in the upcoming Playoffs. For Saudi Arabia, the defeat meant missing out on a big step towards direct World Cup qualification. They will now be looking to put things right and move closer to the World Cup with a victory over Indonesia.
