Description
Shrewsbury Town advanced to the Second Round with a commanding 3-1 victory over South Shields at Mariners Park. The Shrews dominated the first half through Anthony Scully's impressive brace in the 23rd and 34th minutes, before Tom Sang extended their lead just before the break in the 44th minute. Despite Luke Woolston's consolation goal for the hosts in the 67th minute, Shrewsbury's superior quality showed, comfortably securing their place in the next round.
